Enhanced Intelligent Crowd Control and Hazard Prevention System for Religious Places Using IoT
Abstract
Managing large crowds in religious places is a significant challenge due to the increased risk of overcrowding, stampedes, and unexpected hazards such as fire and gas leaks. Existing crowd management approaches are mostly manual and lack real time monitoring and quick response capabilities. This paper proposes an enhanced intelligent crowd control and hazard prevention system using Internet of Things technology to improve safety and management efficiency. The proposed system integrates sensors, cameras, and microcontrollers to continuously monitor crowd density and environmental conditions. The collected data is transmitted to a centralized platform for analysis to detect abnormal crowd behavior and potential hazards. When critical situations are identified, the system generates alerts for authorities and activates warning mechanisms to guide the crowd and reduce congestion. The system also supports remote monitoring, enabling faster decision-making and effective emergency response.
