Abstract

This work presents the design and development of a model smart home automation system using the Internet of Things (IoT) for convenient electronics control.  Conventional wired systems can be costly to retrofit, prompting the exploration of alternative solutions. This IoT-based system allows users to control home appliances remotely and through voice commands. The system utilizes a NodeMCU board, relays, and sensors to enable functionalities like remote monitoring and control, voice activation, sensor integration, automation scenarios, and security and safety. The developed system demonstrates the feasibility of convenience, efficiency, and safety for users using an IoT approach.
